Ok so i finally got to installing win7 on the SSD.
I cant rly say i think its so much faster or faster in general atm.
I might have set something wrong in the bios tho, or i gotto run updates first of win7.
Ill keep the progress here as usual :)

And there won't be any point to do that soon either since my asus P5nE-SLI motherboard does not support AHCI.
So if i dun get it to work before 2morro im bringing it back to get a new HDD instead.
Allways somehing with pc's eh? ;)

Good idea about the Raid Buzz, ill try that 2morro.
Rite now i experience serious lag on loading any program,
like its waiting for something the whole time :/

So yeah it appears to work on certain things, but overall its slow on response time.
Installing win 7 aand installing all the drivers took 3 times as long.
Shit freezing up at 99% for 10 minutes bah :/

Roight so i went back to the shop today to return the H80 for a H100, and the SSD for a HDD.
Of course they didnt have the H100 in stock lol so i just picked up the rest and reinstalled win 7 today as well.
Info below!



The new fan installed v/s the old one outside the case.
Putting them both on max speed points out the old stock fan had RLY low air pressure :/
Kinda strange forthe fan that has so supply the cold air eh?
The new Xigmatek fan is pushing in 4 times more cold air now and is brighter as well yay!



The new stuff i picked up today:

- 16 Gb corsair vengeance, 4 sticks of ram, DDR3, 1600Hz
- Corsair Force GT SSD, 555 Mb/s read, 495 Mb/s write (LOL!)
- another fan Y-cable for the H100 fans
- 2x seagate 500 Gb 7200 rpm HDD's (the new ones for this pc)
- another HDD anti vibration kit

So yeah all thats left is to wait for the H100 to come in so i can mess with that.

Btw tic, if ur mobo does not support AHCI (Advanced Host Controller Interface) then there's no point in getting a SSD rly.
I had to find this out the hard way lol
It's only ok if you desire for slow ass sata 1 "speeds" and constant lag in every application you open, combined with random freezes n stuff :/
So be warned all of you! :D

Raid is the best and fastest way to run your SSD in my opinion even better in raid 0 with 2 drives.

I suggest u run 2 standard drives in RAID 0 and the ssd on the raid as well . works really well

Yeah mine supports AHCI it also has SATA 3.0 aswell.
Theres another thing on it aswell I think if i run 2 sata 3 drives in raid 0 it makes them go even faster some how, ive not really looked at that stuff yet as i dont have enough money for my HDDs yet.
But i need a new mouse/keyboard first as the ones im rocking are half broke lol.

Hmmm actually i could run my normal HDD's in Raid, since my mobo can do it.
I ended up buying 2 the same 500 gig sata 3 drives for this pc, even while the mobo only can handle sata 2 lol.
That would mean i'd have to clone my c-drive to the f-drive where all the games are on.
Andthen all the games stuff back to the first c-drive so they would have the same content ugh.
To much hassle atm so ill stick with what i got for now :)
Benchmarked the new C: drive with these results:



As you can see double the speed aquired hehe
Not as fast as the SSD i had, but at least all my programs run smooth now with out constant delays in everything

Mind you tho, the SSD i had was a "slow" sata 2 one, this new red GT one is even twice as fast lol!

My keyboard btw is a old logitech one from 2006 actually, but i dun got any buttons being wonky or anything so it will do.
My old mouse compared to this new one was a unprecice peice of shit in the end lol.
Been making headshots like crazy in borderlands all day! :D
