UPDATE 11/08/2012

Sooner than I expected (much much sooner) the server has been updated and is now running DayZ 1.7.2.5

You can either download direct from here. http://uk1.dayz.nu/latest/
or using www.worrom.com 's DayZ updater.

Ok, as there is some confusion of the manner in which to install and run DayZ in concordance with the WPC server I thought I'd lay out the instructions step by step.

-If you are currently using Six Updater.

1.Start by un-installing Six Updater/Launcher. Any program that forces an update shouldn't used as DayZ releases are more often than not broken on release.
2.Open your desk draw.
3.Put your fingers in the draw.
4.Slam draw shut.

Six Updater/Launcher should now be successfully un-installed, if it's not repeat steps 2 through 4.

Getting Going with DayZ

1. Download and install DayZ version 1.7.2.5
I recommend using www.worrom.com 's DayZ updater.
2. Extract the files to
..\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\@DayZ\Addons.
Overwrite when asked. (DayZ Updater does this for you.)
3. Download and install the Arma2 Launcher.

4.Set up the launcher as shown below.


Drag and drop the addon from left to right to be able to turn it on.

If you can't see DayZ in the Available Addons then tell the launcher where to look.




Tell the launcher where your exes are. Select Run Beta and No Splash Screen. Performance is dependent on your system, this screen shot shows the setup for my system. Don't change yours unless you know what you are doing.

UPDATE - UNCHECK BETA







On the game version Select "ArmA II - CO" and launch the game.

Steam Users
Add this line to your launch options.


You should now be able to join WPCs Server.

WPC will update it's server when we know the newer versions of DayZ work.

Arma 2 and Operation Arrowhead expansion pack.
You can buy on Steam Combined Operation pack which includes Arma 2+Operation Arrowhead.

After that you need to download DayZ mod to play DayZ ^^
