Design by committee -- a surefire way to piss of your fan base AND create a mediocre game with no distinguishing characteristics. I'm sick of reading about marketing execs and their sway in the current games industry. Let's get back to creative individuals making the games THEY want to make!
thats is, they killed the franchise givin us excuses about this is "too scary"? come f* on... we're talking about a survivor horror tittle, if people can't handle this, they just have to avoid games like that. This is pretty ridiculous give people that kind of concern for they comercial decisions.
Now we have another crap oriented third person action coop game with no horror to survive. This genere is dead, pretty much...
Call of Gears Space...I'm surprised they didn't create a "Horde Mode" where you and a friend take on ever increasingly difficult waves of Necromorphs.
Hemi's note : ahem...guess we did eh fellas? lol
As a HUGE fan of the first game this is disheartening to hear. I feel worse than when they announced MP for DS2. Luckily they delivered a solid single player experience. This is the shift the RE took with RE5. Great game, but lost its way.I hope they can make this work for me, as a fan of the scary, the nasty and the isolation. But, isolation is what made DS work. Made DS... DeadSpace. I am sad.
I don't know how to take this. Cause you can't look at it from purely a Gamer's perspective, its a fine line between pleasing fans and making money. Even if it is action and not horror, it's called tough shit. The sad truth is, we getting upset about it isn't going to change anything. If it is an non scary action game I think it'll massively flop. Mainstream audiences are never going to just go OMG shooty shooty I want. They stick with whats familiar like CoD and Battlefield.
Mer mer mer rant rant rant stop whining about it and wait and see.
