*Spoilers*
Ok played the extended cut. Noticed they rewrote some ending set pieces. Most noticeably the evac scene, the normandy and fleet leaving and of course the relays not blowing up annihilating everything.
If this doesn't show how much Bioware got the ending wrong to begin with, I don't know what will.
Cudoes for trying to explain the Catalyst and its fucked up logic, but for me it just made it feel even more out of place. It screamed, 'heres a plot device, this is why Im here, Please believe me! I promise i was meant to be here from the start

'
Riddle me this catalyst, why in the name of Fuck did you not just open the citadel in Mass Effect 1 and usher in the next cycle if you were already there?
Good effort Bioware. But you should have stopped believing your own infallibility and just retconned the Catalyst completely.
Final opinion. Worth a play as it explains how badly Bioware messed up quite well. Play it for a giggle, but if you are like me and abhorred the original endings, it won't change how you feel.
