My desktop project
Just a small project I did to completely rework my desktop to make it more stylish and accessible! All of the buttons work accept for a few that are named incorrectly, but I have to dig through pages of code to rename them and code their functions etc so i'll get round to it. Everything is linked to be real time, and all the buttons work that are labelled correctly. I feel this makes it much more convenient to access folders and launch .exes while looking cool. I spent around 4.5 hours on this. Please let me know if you have any questions or criticisms

Re: My desktop project
Hello BD, I used a program called 'rain meter' for the real time parts and overlays. The skin and theme were custom made and then coded to usable instead of just for show. I'm using Windows 7 32bit. Thanks for the compliment by the way

Re: My desktop project
Prometheus? I don't know what that is, this theme & skin is inspired from Iron man, thus why I added the little detail where it says Jarvis Display System P.S Didn't make it clear in the first post, the theme is not by me but simply edited to EXACTLY how I want in Photoshop and then thrown together on the desktop and coded together. If you look up this theme you will see it looks very very different to my version of it

Re: My desktop project
A few questions : Did you design the 3d planets in the background. Did you design the UI elements. The little circles, the font. etc. If not it might be wise to show the original author some love. You never know who's browses these boards hehe. ----------------

Re: My desktop project
Hello thanks for all the compliments!
The answer Hemi's questions:
The background is merely a stock picture. I don't know who made it or where it came from .The UI is downloaded but was quite extensively modified by me in Photoshop to make it exactly how i wanted it, i merely used the UI as a 'starting design'. The code is where it comes down to just me, i initially planned to just leave it for show then I was inspired to code it all. The coding took hours, I hope you don't all feel deceived that i created the background and designed the HUD. I merely edited it and coded it.

Its a very nice gateway project m8. Start small, and before you know it, you'll be modding games. ----------------
