Okay so I'll give my thoughts on ur choice of components below.
CPU : Intel Core i7-3930K
Are you sure you want to spend a extra 200 for a 10% speed increase over a e.g. i7-3820 CPU?
Motherboard : ASUS Rampage IV Extreme X79
Again this is the most expensive mobo asus has atm lol, be carefull you don't pay
to much for fancy extra options you will never use ;)
Graphic Card : Gigabyte 3GD Radeon HD 7950 (x2)
Personally i think you will do fine with just one of these tbh.
Memory : CORSAIR Dominator Platinum 8G (x8)
Sooooo 64 Gb of memory is what you want then? again WAY to much for
what ur actually going to use lol
32Gb is more than enough really, unless ur going to render finding nemo all day as a hobby.
Hard Drive : Seagate Barracuda 7200 3TB (x2)
Question, how much HDD space do you use atm? since i get the feeling you want
to download the whole internet lol
SSD : Mushkin Callisto deluxe 120GB
I would recommend a Corsair Force GT 120Gb instead since it has
double the read / write speeds than the mushkin.
Power Supply : Corsair 1200-Watt
Just make sure it's modular! :D
HeatSink : Noctua NH-D14
For a setup you have in mind aircoolers are not going to cut it.
Also, this noctua cooler will not allow you to use all the memory slots
because of its size probably.
On top of that, ur ram sticks are going to be to high and will touch most of the noctua fans.
So recommended is watercooling like a Corsair H80 or H100.
That way you get alot more room to work around the CPU to install all
the fan wires and RAM sticks.
Plus, watercooling is more silent and ALOT cooler than airflow.
Case : Thermaltake Level 10
Personal taste in looks i think, it will allow a Corsar H100 in the top but you need to remove the 200mm top fan to do so.
Mouse : R.A.T 9 Gaming Mouse
Again, way to expensive product for what you would actually need, want or like imo.
Have you looked into a CM Spawn mouse as well btw?
Keyboard : Logitech G510
See: "mouse" comment
Ok so bottom line, just out of interest, how did you pick these components?
I dont believe you just picked the most expensive version of everything,
since i can tell you looked into the components being compattible.
Just curious ;)
Also, what are the future plans of this pc? just to play games or?
Did you check the prices of all the products as well to see if it would stay under 5000, i didnt yet see lol.
Just to give you an idea, with the amount of money you would spent on this current choice of products, i can make 2 brand new computers who can do the same thing you will be using it for in the end.
Hope this helps.
