Hey Asurans, if you want something like this I'd be more than happy to point you in the right direction. It's a matter of downloading a backgrounds and design, then coding it. I took it a step further and edited the design in Photoshop. The editing took about an hour, the coding took about 3-4 hours :p

Hmm, I don't know anything to do with codeing. So if there isn't an easy way to just download install and link shortcuts with programs I think i should steer clear.

I don't want to wreck my desktop, if you could point me in the right direction thought so i can check if I can do it i'd appreciate that.

Well that's very difficult then, I didn't use a tutorial or anything i used a stock background and theme then edited them and coded it all from my own knowledge, I could help you do it if you really wanted but other than that it's out my hands :p

I've seen such a background only once before, and I have to say I'd LOVE to make one, but I honestly have no idea how to do any of it. If you are willing, I'd really apreciate any help with making one. I've never done any coding though, so that might be a bit of a pain in the arse :/

I'd be willing to help but i could see it taking 3+ hours so it's slightly tricky....

The graphical side could take a while. (learning 3ds max takes about 4 to 6 years. All aspects like lighting/modelling etc)

Its not impossible, and photoshop will get you a good start. The rest is experience...experience and experience.

Takes me back to the days when I used to dick around with my themes. Then I picked up 3ds MAX and kissed goodbye my summer for 1 year making models for Jedi Knight 2

You should give some basic box modelling a go Verrigan!
