Yeah ive allways built speakers into every form of transportation i had in the past lol.
If it's got room, it will get custom speakers :D

The whole inside of the helmet basket is going to get insulated tho for lower bass.
I used this xact same subwoofer before and it go for 8 hours at least on a full battery lol.

Just gotto find a small, powerfull, enough channels amp i can hide in the front panel where ur knees are.
Will probably be a 4channel amp with 2 bridged for the sub with low pass.. just gotto see whats out there ;)

Ok time for a update on the scooter then.
Bought a amp for 16 euro's today lol, to feed the front speakers and one tweeter i still had laying around as well:


The lil amp doesnt go that loud tho, since its shit quality but so are the 2 speakers so ill need a filter to take out the low so they won't go up in smoke :D


If you look up projects like these, EVERYBODY is using this amp actually, so i bought 2 so ill have one as a backup hehe.

One problem with this scooter tho, theres NO room for any of the amps underneath the seat! :/


I even have to saw off half a inch of the 3 supports to lower the panel or else it won't even close up either.


So then i came up with the idea of using the back basket to store the amps yay! :D
Even with the 2 amps in there i got plenty of room to store the chain lock as well.
Also in winters i can take the whole thing off


These are the plans for the glove compartment panel, these will be powered by the small amp.
The big red amp (which is also shit) will power the subwoofer in bridged mode.
A buddy of mine is into the polyester customizing busyness so im sure he can fix me something nice for lil money :)

STEAM: iblock4fun

Ok a lil update on new stuff, problems and plans for the scooter audio thingy-ness.

K so i had to lower the wooden panel 2 times into the bucket to make it able to close up.
When it finally did close up it turned out that the bucket gets sealed off allmost air tight above the speaker.
Result of that is it can't get rid of the air its moving when its playing music.
In fact, it will get held allmost in place while the sound wants it to move like crazy!

So keeping it like this will destroy the subwoofer at some point so i went shopping:





A few euro's further i got myself a perfect airduct!
Needs polyestering on the top part to create something like this:



A old horn tweeter would be perfect since those are mostly plastic:



Allways funny how a simple idea turns out way bigger everytime lol
At least i only spent like 30 euro's on the whole project so far :D

Ok so the scooter project is on hold for a while atm.
Instead i decided to do a upgrade for the cheap old desktop speakers i had at the office.
They had this 1mm thick small plastic housing that gave a rly hollow sound.
Time to customize!



Lets make a box!



Like so, using only woodglue as usual since its only 8mm MDF.



Use hobby glue to stick aucoustic insulation material on the bottom.



As well as the sides.



New wires soldered.



Front panel.



Huge ass 1.9 inch speaker with a whole whopping 2 watts! lol.



Pressure ring on insulation tape, since these speakers normally get held in place with clips from the other side.
5 screws will hold it down while while the insulation tape makes everything nice and tight.



Still need to make a new box thingy for the amp and power converter as you can see.

Actually they have just the sanded wood as a outer layer atm.
I think ill keep em like that as well for now untill the amp thingy is ready to.
I'll mess with that after the decibel weekend :D
